The LGA aim to put local councils at the heart of the drive to improve public services and to work with government to ensure that the policy, legislative and financial context in which they operate, supports that objective.  Brief: Produce a home page and main navigation design that refreshes the general look of the site, and enhance the registration method for new members. It sounded straight forward enough, but this job was not simply a home page update. We devised a main navigation method that showed users the heirarchy of 'registered' content. There was also a significant amount of new eye candy to enhance existing content that was simply lost on the old homepage. We also had to show prominence to the new 'first' publication.
